As the 2025 Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) Game Changers season draws closer, anticipation is soaring among fans and players. With regional tournaments gearing up, Riot Games has unveiled crucial details about the upcoming 2025 Game Changers Championship, including major changes in team allocations.
New Slot Distribution for 2025
For the 2025 VCT Game Changers Championship, a total of 10 teams will compete, but slot distribution has shifted compared to previous years. Following Shopify Rebellion’s victory in 2024, North America now holds the most slots (4), giving the region a strong presence. The updated breakdown is as follows:
Advestisment
- North America (NA): 4 slots
- Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA): 3 slots
- Pacific Region: 2 slots
- China: 1 slot
North American Last Chance Qualifier Adjustments
Due to this new distribution, Riot Games has modified the North American Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) format. The first three NA teams heading to the Championship will be determined by winners from NA, Brazil, and LATAM. Meanwhile, the fourth and final spot will be decided in an LCQ tournament in São Paulo.
This high-stakes LCQ event will take place over two days, featuring three teams battling for the last slot. Although the exact date has yet to be confirmed, it is expected to occur in September 2025.
The Road to Glory
With these significant changes in place, the 2025 VCT Game Changers Championship promises to be one of the most exciting yet. As the season unfolds, the big question remains: Which team will rise to claim the ultimate title in this year’s Game Changers?
